This year has started slowly, but fully packed. I didnt have much time to sit down and write or draw. Last Friday was the official opening of the Aalto University, and the party was really great! Met lots of old and new faces and had a wonderful time! Im very much curious how this University will work. Aalto will be a combination of three existing universities: Helsinki School of Economics, the University of Art and Design and the Helsinki University of Technology. Sounds strange isn't it? Will see!

This year I really really would like to learn how to take good photos of small objects, and set up a kind of still-life. Till now it was more or less unintentional photo-shooting with this and that, but now I have some works that would need a bit more thinking. When I see time to time great shots I envy them really. It has something to do with light as well, as here in Finland it is rather difficult to find good lighting at this time of the year...its really dark, though getting better.

we took off the Christmas tree, and it feels now really strange and empty. The only "tree" left is on our main door, made out of the greetings cards we received this year!
